Our van loaded with muddy tarpaulins, old tyres, a wooden pallet and wire mesh cleared from an allotment

Garden and allotment waste

This load was accumulated waste from an allotment – old tarpaulins, tyres, a pallet and wire mesh. If it’s been building up in a garden or on a plot, we can load it up and take it away.

We remove waste only – we don’t cut back or tidy overgrown gardens.

Protect yourself

Avoid fly-tippers – it could cost you

Cheap “man with a van” offers can look tempting, but unlicensed operators sometimes dump waste in lanes and lay-bys. If your rubbish is fly-tipped and traced back to you, you, the householder, can be fined – even though you paid someone to take it.

Warning signs

  • A price that seems far too cheap
  • No waste carrier licence, or vague answers when you ask
  • No waste transfer note or receipt offered
  • They can’t say where your waste is going

Always ask for

  • Proof they’re a registered waste carrier
  • A waste transfer note for your waste
  • Where the waste will be taken

ELG Waste is a fully licensed waste carrier and gives a waste transfer note with every job.
